Running on Senegalese time (June 16)

We were told that we should be ready by 11am to go to WARC to have lunch there and the city tour in the afternoon. However, when I went down to the hotel lobby, the plan got little changed. Cheikh first told us that the bus that's suposed to take us to WARC was running little late so that we should wait for it since it won't take long. All of us didn't mind since we had errands to take care of such as going to ATM and getting Senegalese cellphone. After we were done with all that, we just sat in the lobby and just chilled there watching at people passing by. While we were sitting there, we saw a group of kids in uniform and a cow passing by itself without an owner. When we saw the cow, we all took out our camera to take pictures. Cheikh later told us that Senegalese let their cows since they know that cows will come back home after the walk, which they usually do.
After 3 hours, we were still at the same spot waiting for the bus to come and pick us up for the city tour. It was past the lunch time and one of the professors told us that we should just have lunch at the hotel while waiting for the bus. Since we were running late according to the original plan, most of us decided to get the food that would be ready the fastest and the waitress told us that the food would be ready in 15 minutes.... which we ended up waiting for an hour.To be honest, I was little dissapointed to see how unorganized the trip and worried about the next 3 weeks to come. I'm just hoping that things will get better or that I get used to running on Senegalese time ASAP :)
